Hello! I’m Leigh. I’m an integrative counsellor offering online and face-to-face counselling and supervision. I hold a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling from CPCAB, alongside an Open Degree in Counselling, Psychology, Sociology, and Philosophy. I’m also a Professional Accredited member of the NCPS, fully insured, and ICO registered.
My interest in counselling grew from a long-standing curiosity about people, relationships, and the ways we experience ourselves and the world around us. I feel particularly drawn to ideas from existentialism, existential phenomenology, and depth psychology, which explore themes such as identity, meaning, uncertainty, and the deeper parts of human experience.
As someone who has experienced therapy myself, I understand how important it is to find a counsellor you genuinely feel comfortable with. With this in mind, I aim to create a space where clients can speak openly, feel respected, and explore themselves without pressure or judgment. I value authenticity within the therapeutic relationship and recognise that no two people experience life in the same way.
Alongside counselling, I also enjoy supporting counsellors and trainees through supervision. I find it incredibly rewarding to watch supervisees grow in confidence, develop their own therapeutic voice, and deepen their understanding of client work over time.
Helping you to navigate PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder) through specialist counselling and support.
I received my PMDD diagnosis in 2023 after years of difficulties. During that time, I often felt that the PMDD support I needed simply wasn’t available.
Repeated cycles of burning everything to the ground, including my sense of self, relationships, work, and hobbies, left me without a stable foundation from which to navigate daily life. Each month, I had to take stock of what remained and what needed repairing. This process became exhausting, and I dreaded it deep in the pit of my stomach.
Anxiety, panic, guilt, confusion, sadness, brain fog, imposter syndrome, and paranoia shaped my life in different ways throughout the month. These experiences affected me during the height of PMDD symptoms and while I tried to rebuild afterwards.
Specialist PMDD counselling sessions
I offer specialist PMDD counselling sessions, where I invite you to take up space and explore your whole experience. Together, we can explore how PMDD affects your life and develop tools and strategies that help you navigate both your diagnosis and the challenges that come with i
We will explore PMDD as both a whole-life experience and a changing monthly cycle. Together, we can identify patterns, reassess what is helping, and adapt strategies as your needs evolve. We will approach this work with compassion, curiosity, and flexibility.
Supporting people with PMDD is very close to my heart. My hope is that our work together helps you develop a stronger sense of steadiness in who you are and what you are navigating.
